With two young kids, the pumpkin patch trip is a staple - an absolute necessity for a fall activity. Our patch of choice is Kruger's, on Sauvie Island. We scouted out our pumpkins (Sam wanted the BIGGEST, Amy just wanted to stop tripping over the vines), and then rode on the hayride around the farm. Good times. Here's some pictures of our adventure, as well as some pictures of the resultant carving of said pumpkins. Enjoy!
Oh, yes, there was a caramel apple prominently involved during our visit to Kruger's. We only bought one. As you can tell from Amy's pointing, and Sam's hoarding, that was a problem.

And...the carving. This was Daddy's pumpkin, so I got to choose the face. The kids got to help pull out the guts. Amy was more interested in this than Sam...

I just love all these fall and Halloween pictures on the blogs! What a wonderful and magical time of year! Pete, Lucy and I bought ONE pumpkin at the store the other day, and we plan to carve it, despite the fact that it is still 85% degrees outside and it will probably rot in less than an hour. :) Oh well, it is still fun!
